Board Election Results!
The National Association for Community Mediation Election Results
From our roots in the 1970s to find better ways to resolve conflicts, community mediation centers hold out the promise of supporting communities t build capacity to engage in conflict constructively; assist neighbors, businesses, courts, police and other government agencies to improve dialogue and strengthen relationships; support diverse cultures and interests to work together; and develop programs and services that are applied with sensitivity for the cultures they serve.
In 1993 a small group of community mediation program directors founded the National Association for Community Mediation. Since then, NAFCM has grown to include nearly 900 members including programs, individuals, state associations, supporters and educational institutions.
In November of 2007, NAFCM started its most recent election campaign in order to elect five new board members. Ten NAFCM members stepped forward to stand for election. The NAFCM Nomination Committee thanks all of these members for being willing to advance the mission of this organization.
Join us in congratulating the following individuals who were elected as NAFCM board members. They will be officially welcomed to their place at the table during the
Annual Membership meeting in Las Vegas, NV on April 25, 2008.
