Education Program Manager

The Supreme Court of Ohio is seeking applicants for the position of Education Program Manager. This position develops, implements and administers
Judicial College courses.

Responsibilities:
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. This position is responsible for planning, developing, facilitating, and evaluating education programs for judges and magistrates and/or court personnel; conducting education needs assessments for specific target population; designing curriculum with appropriate planning committees; conducting planning meetings and introducing courses; selecting faculty and location sites and coordinating arrangements; preparing announcements; coordinating printing of materials; monitoring program and/or seminar progress in order to evaluate content and faculty. Planning and developing programs will include estimating costs, monitoring expenses, managing grants and other financial resources and analyzing trends and making projections for future financial requirements.

This position is also accountable for designing instruments to obtain participant evaluation of program content and faculty performance; reviewing, and analyzing evaluation results for future program planning; preparing and maintaining appropriate correspondence, records, reports and files.

The Education Manager attends workshops, seminars and professional meetings and participates in regional and national associations that relate to the program managed; serves on committees; serves as liaison with other agencies or institutions.

Qualifications and Requirements:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in communication, business or public administration, instructional design, adult learning, education, instructional technology, or related field or equivalent. An advanced degree in education, law or related field preferred. Requires fives years experience and/or significant training and expertise in preparing and delivering informational and instructional programs for adults, to include applying adult education theory and practice to curriculum development, course planning, and faculty development responsibilities and effective uses of technological education tools and audio/visual equipment. Advanced degree may substitute for three years experience. Experience in a court environment preferred. Strong verbal, written and presentation skills a must. Must be proficient with Microsoft software including MS Word and Outlook. Familiarity with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Access beneficial. Ability to become proficient in additional educational software (Unity XP) and to use the Internet as a research tool also helpful. This position also requires project management and resource management skills: proven ability to handle multiple projects, deadlines, and clients; ability to shift priorities and resources. Ability to work some non-standard hours as necessary and travel, including some overnight stays, as needed is required.

Other:
This is an exempt unclassified position that reports to Director,
Judicial College and the normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. An attractive benefits package is offered, including medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, life insurance, deferred compensation and leave time. The expected starting pay range is $58,739.20-$69,118.40

NYS Agricultural Mediation Program (NYSAMP)

Program Manager Job Description

The New York State Dispute Resolution Association, Inc. (NYSDRA) is seeking a highly motivated individual with exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communications skills to assist in managing a rapidly expanding, state-wide agricultural mediation program.  Interested applicants must have a college degree as well as personal or professional experience with the agricultural community.  Experience in the dispute resolution field and with Community Dispute Resolution Centers (CDRCs) is desirable.  Some telecommuting may be possible.

This is a half time position dependent on yearly government funding.  The Program Manager’s responsibilities will be tailored to the specific expertise, experience and interests of the successful candidate.

Case Management

·       Initial intake and distribution of USDA cases, case monitoring from intake to final disposition

·       Case closure and evaluation process

·       In-house paperwork management

·       Analysis of cases (i.e. statistics)

·       Monitoring of caseloads and compliance with procedures

·       Assessment of mediator training needs

 

Program Management and Development

·       Prepare training curriculum and materials for NYSAMP training

·       Plan program meetings with stakeholders

·       Prepare quarterly reports and information as needed relating to program case analysis, training and finances

·       Facilitate information sharing among key stakeholders

Outreach

·       Train and support mediation providers to increase the capacity and effectiveness of local level outreach

·       Plan outreach and training for state and local USDA offices

·       Research statewide and regional opportunities for publication and other outreach efforts

·       Produce press releases and other materials for distribution

·       Plan meetings with State Legislators and other key governmental officials

·       Plan presentations and training for federal, state and local agencies, financial institutions, and other organizations identified as potential referral sources

·       Attend statewide and regional conferences, annual meetings of agricultural organizations, and agricultural fairs

Other:  Other tasks relating to NYSAMP, or general program components of NYSDRA as needed.

Hiring Range: $14,000-$17,500

aspects of our professional and consumer training programs. You can
