Outstanding Volunteer - Sharon D. Armour

About Sharon

Sharon Armour has been working to support Metropolitan Mediation Services (MMS) in Brookline, Massachusetts since 2010. She is known for being both a committed and reliable volunteer as well as a patient, sensitive, and self-disciplined mediator. Sharon steps in as needed to fill a number of different roles within the MMS community. She makes herself available to conduct mediations, staffs MMS’s work in one of their community courts, mentors new mediators, contributes technical expertise and advice, and coaches trainee role-play games. She is a builder of bridges both internally within MMS and externally between the organization and the larger community.

Volunteer of the Quarter Award

NAFCM is thrilled to honor Sharon for her all her hard work and dedication with the Outstanding Volunteer of the Quarter Award. The award was presented to Sharon virtually by D.G. Mawn at a recent meeting of MMS community members. NAFCM is incredibly grateful for Sharon's commitment to serve her community through her work with Metropolitan Mediation Services.

Sharon hopes that NAFCM can serve as a reminder for those doing work in the field that they belong to a larger family of curious, collaborative visionary partners who share her value for integrity and quality of service.
