NAFCM & S-CAR Seek Intern to Support "State of Community Mediation" Survey and Report

The School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (S-CAR) and the National Association for Community Mediation (NAFCM) are seeking an intern to work on a yearlong project to support an Update of the State of Community Mediation survey and report to commemorate the 25th anniversary of NAFCM. The internship would begin in late August/early September 2018 and run for a 12-month period. A stipend of $2,000 for the year is available.

 

The intern will work with S-CAR Associate Dean Julie Shedd and NAFCM President DG Mawn to support graduate student teams working on the project in the Fall '18 and Spring '19 semesters. The intern will assist the project leads and students in the following:

 

  • Reviewing materials collected by NAFCM regarding previous State of Community Mediation reports;
  • Conducting an archival data collection process, including the review, development/construction, implementation, and assessment of the on-line survey to be completed by Community Mediation Centers;
  • Supporting NAFCM in the "360" Listening Session data collection process, including the review, development/construction, implementation, and assessment of the survey training and reports from up to 24 Community Mediation Centers;
  • Drafting and editing both the final report and the executive summary;
  • Producing the final report and executive summary for hard copy distribution
